Why study Pre-Organizational Leadership?
Pre-organizational leadership is an associate degree program that provides the basic curriculum needed for the first two years of a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership. The program is transfer-oriented and is ideal for the student who wishes to pursue the first two years within a small campus atmosphere. The program provides students with skills and knowledge to perform as effective leaders within organizations and society, combining a liberal arts education and selective business subjects.
Organizational leadership students interested in pursuing a career in human resources (HR) are encouraged to take the HR track beginning in junior year.
UC Blue Ash College (UCBA) faculty advisers assist students in planning courses of study and in following transfer procedures to other colleges.
Successful students in organizational leadership need critical thinking skills, people skills, and the ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
Career Possibilities
Like students who graduate with other liberal arts majors, graduates with a BA in organizational leadership are prepared for further academic or professional study and for many different career options in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Organizational leadership students have pursued careers in business management, communications, nonprofit organizations, Peace Corps and government. Organizational leadership students also go on to law school, master's in business administration (MBA) programs, and graduate programs in communication, psychology, and other liberal arts disciplines.
Minoring in Pre-Organizational Leadership
Minors do not apply to associate degree programs. If you are enrolled in a transitional associate degree program, you will spend most of your classroom time acquiring the foundational courses for your four-year baccalaureate. Generally, you will select your minor when you transfer to your four-year institution.

Transferring to UC Requirements
Transferring to UC Blue Ash College (UCBA)
Transfer applications are individually reviewed, and acceptance is based on receipt of application materials, as well as official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended. An official evaluation of transfer credit from other colleges will be processed after the student’s file is complete.
Credits are accepted from any institution currently accredited by any of the six regional accrediting agencies. Enrollment Services shall have discretionary authority to accept credits from other institutions in consultation with program directors or department chairpersons. Application of transfer credit to the student's program is at the discretion of the appropriate program director or department chairperson.
Changing Majors within UC Requirements
Students changing majors FROM other programs or colleges within UC will be considered based on the same criteria as outside transfers.
Students planning to transfer TO other UC colleges (or other institutions) must meet the grade point criteria established by those colleges.
International Student Requirements
International students wishing to apply to UCBA can find information at the University's International Students Admissions webpage.
Graduation Requirements
To qualify for a degree, you must fulfill the requirements of the program from which you expect to graduate and must have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average. It is your responsibility to take the courses necessary for graduation and to meet the UC residency requirements.
