Our students get an array of opportunities to both discover and explore their passions while working toward their future careers and/or graduate education.

Graduate Programs

The SCFMS offers three rigorous graduate programs to meet the needs of today’s students. We offer a MA in Communication, a Graduate Certificate in Film and Media Studies, and a PhD in Communication with an emphasis on social jusice.

These programs offer a supportive educational environment while providing rigorous study in a research-based curriculum. This allows our students to broaden their perspectives and learn the value and fundamentals of research.

Our programs are small, which allows students the opportunity to work one-on-one with our distinguished and award-winning research faculty. These small cohorts provide an environment where students work together and establish friendships and working partnerships that go beyond their time with us.
